Despite distinctiveness initiatives, there still are too few minority privilege members at US medical schools and those minorities are less liable to be promoted, according to a new study. Researchers analyzed data gathered from medical schools across the boonies between 2000 and 2010. Those schools had a nearly the same increase in the percentage of minority faculty members, from 6,5 percent in 2000 to 7,4 percent in 2010, as those without minority knack development programs, which increased from 7 percent to 8,3 percent.

After adjusting for capacity and school characteristics, the researchers concluded that minority faculty phenomenon programs were not associated with increases in minority faculty, recruitment or promotion, according to the study, which was published in the Dec 4, 2013 son of the Journal of the American Medical Association insect.
